We have been sorting and describing materials in Science

Today we looked at a variety of objects made with different types of materials. We found out that some objects were made with more than one type of material. We had to look at and feel the material and try to work out what it was made out of. Some of us are starting to use scientific vocabulary to describe materials such as, soft, hard, rough, smooth, bendy, rigid, transparent, opaque, waterproof, absorbent and squashy. We know plastic is waterproof after taking part in Discovery Dogs investigation. Look in our science books to find out more. image
